Meditation Workshop
(A Mini-Course in Inner Stillness)
October 24 - November 7, 2007
Why Learn To Mediate?
The practice of mediation has been found to:
Relax the body and calm the mind
Reduce high blood pressure in hypertensive individuals
Enhance performance at work and at play
Create a sense of feeling centered, grounded and balanced
Enable a deeper sense of connection with others
Encourage aligning with a deeper sense of purpose
If the benefits of meditation sound intriguing but the process of meditating sounds peculiar, you may consider taking this 3-week user-friendly meditation course to demystify the process and provide individual instruction and group support. In the tradition of the Himalayan Institute, yogic meditation will be taught using an incremental system that settles the body, steadies the breath, and focuses the mind.

Reiki Level I & II Training
Friday (evening) February 15 - 6:00pm to 9:30pm
Saturday (full day) February 18 10:00am to 5:00pm
Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing of body, mind and soul. An amazingly simple technique to learn the ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during the Reiki class. This ability is passed on during an "attunement" allowing the student to tap into an unlimited supply of "universal life force energy". By applying Reiki and its principles to ones life you can create balance within your life, connect more deeply with Divinity and with your should and cultivate a life of abundance, joy and gratitude each and everyday.
You will learn:
The history of Reiki
How to apply Reiki and its principles to your life
Hand positions and techniques for giving treatments to self and others (we will have plenty of practice time)
