The philosophies and practices of Yoga and Ayurveda offer a blueprint for enlightened aging. Rather than looking at mid-life as a downhill slope, these ancient sciences provide a positive trajectory for this vital stage of life. This course offers practical techniques from the texts of Yoga and Ayurveda specifically designed to help you take good care of yourself. From the perspectives of these time tested modalities, we'll cover nutrition and digestion, sleep, relaxation, and exercise to help you feel more vibrant, healthy and at ease with life's changes.

Doing Nothing Well

From conversations I’ve had with my yoga classes it seems we have in common this pressing need to be “doing something” just about all of the time. Some folks have even expressed a sense of guilt when they settle themselves down to relax outside of the bedtime hours. This relaxation workshop has practical application for all of us in a stress-filled world, and doubles as a fine prelude to the practice of meditation. We’ll experience techniques from yoga, ayurveda, and massage that will help quiet the body, calm the breath, and center the mind.
